Chris Romney has been promoted to president of Brecek and Young Advisors in Folsom, Calif. He succeeds co-founder Roland Brecek,who will retire this month.

David Liebrock has been hired by Captrust Financial Advisors in Boston to serve as senior vice president. Liebrock spent 16 years at Fidelity Investments, most recently as executive vice president with oversight of the advisor 401(k) business.

Claymore Securities and Claymore Advisors in Lisle, Ill., has hired Thomas Futrell to serve as senior managing director and chief investment officer. Prior to Claymore, Futrell was the director of research for Nuveen Asset Management in Chicago.
