Floods Cause One CU Supervisor A Night At IHOP

The flooding that recently paralyzed Houston caused one Southwest Corporate employee to spend the night at an International House of Pancakes-with a car full of return items that were supposed to be on their way to the local Federal Reserve.

LaDonna Gibbs, site supervisor in Southwest Corporate's item processing center, was working Friday afternoon, June 8, as heavy rains from Tropical Storm Allisono were pouring down on the city. According to Southwest Corporate, traffic had become snarled all around Houston that afternoon, and because of congestion, some return items came in and were handled after the last courier was dispatched to the Federal Reserve Bank. Gibbs decided she'd drop off the items at the Fed's downtown office on her way home.
