Credit Union Journal, The, December, 2005

Five credit unions in New England have been given U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) designations, meaning they can offer small business loans under SBA's 7(a) Loan Guaranty Program. The signing ceremony was held at Octant Business Services LLC, a business lending CUSO, at the conclusion of Octant's board meeting at Eastern Corporate FCU. The five credit unions are Jeanne D'Arc CU, Lowell, Mass.; Northeast CU, Portsmouth, N.H.; Bridgewater (Mass.) CU; First Citizens' FCU, New Bedford, Mass., and Rockland (Mass.) FCU. The five join Digital FCU, also a participant in Octant, with an SBA designation.
