Erie FCU Receives $10,000 Grant

Erie Federal Credit Union said it has received a $10,000 grant from the Pennsylvania Credit Union Foundation to fund its financial education program.

The credit union announced it has partnered with the Erie Times, Newspapers in Education, Junior Achievement of Western Pennsylvania, United Way and Penn State Erie in a financial literacy project that actively involves 6,000 students in 65 schools and their families within the local community.

Credit union employees will serve as guest speakers in classrooms and after-school programs to bring hands-on financial literacy education to teachers, students and parents.
