In market in which the only thing increasing is expenses and competition and the only thing shrinking is margins, credit unions have no choice but to trust each other and collaborate to survive, according to a new report released by the Filene Research Institute.

The report, titled “Connecting the Dots on Credit Union Collaboration: A Colloquium at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania,” summarizes the key findings of a 2007 colloquium of academics, practitioners and consultants, which was sponsored by Filene in conjunction with the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
