Voters Feel Growing Angst This Pres. Election Cycle

Credit Union Journal, The, April, 2008

The American people are getting increasingly frustrated.

That’s according to Larry Jacobs, director of the Center for the Study of Politics & Governance in the Hubert H. Humphrey Institute at the University of Minnesota, who told the Minnesota Credit Union Network’s annual meeting that he’s not seen an election year in which voters feel such angst.

“People are more frustrated and disappointed (with the current administration) in this campaign year than in any other year,” said Jacobs. These feelings are causing people to become more politically active and more enthusiastic about voting, he continued.
