Gresini: We'll wait for Edwards.

Telefonica Honda team manager Fausto Gresini has stated he is willing to wait for new rider Colin Edwards to get up to speed, following the Texan's poor start to the 2004 season.

Despite promising pre-season form, Edwards finished just seventh at both Welkom (dry) and Jerez (wet) - nothing like the results expected of a man many tipped as Honda's best hope to guide the RCV project forward after Valentino Rossi's departure.

Adding to the Texan's woes has been the performance of team-mate Sete Gibernau, who has taken two podium finishes - including one victory - and currently leads the world championship standings heading to Le Mans this weekend.

Nevertheless, Gresini is sure that Edwards has yet to show his full potential - and is prepared to be patient....
