Red Bull confirms Toro Rosso, driving squad

Drinks brand Red Bull GmbH has officially confirmed that, following completion of the takeover of the Minardi Formula One team on 1 November, the squad will be renamed as Squadra Toro Rosso, as had been predicted over the past couple of days.

The name is in keeping with both the old and new owners, being Italian for Team Red Bull, reflecting Minardi's Italian heritage.

In addition to confirming the name of its latest acquisition, Red Bull also announced the four drivers that would drive its cars in the 2006 season - and again there were no major surprises. While David Coulthard, Christian Klien, Vitantonio Liuzzi and Scott Speed were all included on the list, no decision has been made as to who drives where, suggesting that Liuzzi may yet end up alongside Coulthard...
