Henning Solberg slipped down to fourth on the penultimate stage of the Corona Rally Mexico on Sunday when he picked up a puncture.

The Norwegian, who was making a 'guest' appearance for the Munchi's Ford WRT last weekend, had a bad start to the event and lost almost two minutes on the second stage on Friday when he hit a rock and broke a suspension component.

Fortunately his mechanical intuition prevailed and, with the use of two basic allen-keys, he managed a temporary fix and then set the third fastest stage time on the following test.

By the end of the leg he was up to sixth and he gained two more places on day two even giving the Munchi's squad its first stage win of the year in SS14, the 23.28 kilometre-run through Derramadero 2.
