With the opening day of the Aaron's 499 weekend set aside solely for practice with Coors Light Pole qualifying not scheduled until Saturday the Sprint Cup teams were straight to work on their race set-ups at the 2.66-mile Talladega Superspeedway.
After using the new generation chassis during last October's UAW-Ford 500 the majority of the 46 teams in attendance this weekend at least had a baseline set-up to work from with everybody hoping that the extra experience will make for a better race on Sunday than we saw at the tail end of last season.
