Heidfeld fastest in FP3.
Crash.Net, April, 2008
The BMW Sauber team assumed its now almost customary spot atop the timesheets at the end of the third and final free practice session at the Circuit de Catalunya, as the Formula One circus geared up for Spanish Grand Prix qualifying.
Surprisingly, however, it wasn't Robert Kubica in top spot, but team-mate Nick Heidfeld, hitherto largely anonymous this weekend, but setting the pace in another session rendered inconclusive by the varied programmes being conducted up and down pit-lane. P3 used to be a reasonable guide to qualifying pace but, with the best Ferrari in ninth and Lewis Hamilton upholding McLaren honour two places further back, things are again not as they would appear as fuel loads played a part.
