Champion hopes for solid run.

Fabrizio Giovanardi admits he is hopeful of a strong performance at Thruxton as the VX Racing man prepares to return to the circuit where he secured the 2007 HiQ MSA British Touring Car Championship title.
The Italian came out on top of a titanic battle with Jason Plato at the Hampshire circuit to secure the crown by just three points having trailed his SEAT rival going into the weekend.
This time around, Giovanardi heads to the quickest circuit on the calendar at the head of the standings after securing three wins in the first nine races of the year although he admitted that he wasn't sure how the new Leon TDi used by Plato and Darren Turner this season would perform.
