McCarter plans to follow brother to JMU

Rockeed McCarter and James Madison University go way back. At least to the fall of 2001. And the relationship is going to continue.

The 6-3, 210-pound McCarter, a first-team Daily News All-City honoree at linebacker, tomorrow will sign a letter of intent with the idea of playing wideout to start, and maybe some defensive end/outside linebacker as he gets older and even stronger.

McCarter played his senior season for Roman Catholic High after transferring from Northeast. His brother, Rodney, was a standout defensive back out of Edward Bok Tech (class of '01) for JMU's 2004 Division I-AA national champions.
