Brunson's talked with Temple; sources say Dunphy has, too

Former Temple standout Rick Brunson confirmed published reports in Houston that he has been contacted by the university, and expects to be interviewed "in the next couple of weeks."
Sources familiar with the situation say it could happen as early as Friday.
Temple has begun trying to find a replacement for Hall of Famer John Chaney, who retired March 13 after 24 seasons with the Owls.
Meanwhile, the sources said Penn coach Fran Dunphy met with Temple officials yesterday. He could not be reached for comment.
Brunson said he has great respect for Dunphy.
Brunson, who played lead guard for Temple from 1991-95, is now with the Houston Rockets and is in his ninth NBA season. He says he's prepared for this for quite some time.
