Cops stop truck, find it's hauling $1M in cash

A minor traffic violation turned into a major money seizure for the Police Department on I-95 early Tuesday morning. Two expressway-patrol cops pulled over a tractor-trailer with a Texas license plate shortly after midnight on a stretch of the highway within city limits. When Officers Phil Nevlin and Pete Koberowski noticed the driver acting suspiciously, they called for a K-9 unit to sniff around the rig, said Narcotics Capt.
Chris Werner. Officers from Narcotics Field Unit 2 and members of the local FBI Squad 3 also responded. They searched the truck and quickly found $1,072,989 in cash inside.
