Paterno back in driver's seat at Penn State practices

Well, they finally found a way to get Joe Paterno in a golf cart. Still unable to put his full weight on his surgically repaired left leg, the nearly 80-year-old Penn State football coach has been scooting around the practice field the last several days in that unfamiliar contraption used by players of an unfamiliar game.

"I go out there on whatever you call it, a golf cart," Paterno said of his somewhat limited participation in the Nittany Lions' preparations for their Jan. 1 Outback Bowl matchup with No. 17 Tennessee. "I'm not in the huddle and chewing somebody out, but I do have a little fun yelling at them. I wouldn't feel like it was a practice if I didn't do a little yelling."
