To watch them flying to the ball and making the sort of big plays that earned each All-America accolades, it would be easy to think of Penn State linebackers Paul Posluszny and Dan Connor almost as twins or, at the very least, kindred spirits. Off the field, however, the two most recent embellishers of Penn State's reputation as Linebacker U are very different.
"Poz is serious, an all-business type of guy," said senior defensive end Tim Shaw, who played between Posluszny and Connor as the Nittany Lions' starting middle linebacker in 2004 and 2005. "Dan is a lot more lighthearted. He lets things slide off of him. He's a very funny guy who tells a lot of good stories." Senior center A.Q.
