Asked to explain the circuitous and fortuitous route that Scottie Reynolds traveled to Villanova, Jay Wright described a mix of luck, good fortune and irony.

Reynolds' father, Rick, prefers to look a little higher.

"I think," a gleeful Rick Reynolds said as he boarded a train for New York and the Big East Tournament last night, "it's providence."
