It wasn't quite the celebrity A-list that turned out for De La Hoya-Mayweather in Las Vegas, but, by Blue Horizon standards, the turnout of famous faces was nonetheless impressive.

In the house for last night's nine-bout professional boxing card were former light-heavyweight and heavyweight champion Michael Spinks, former heavyweight contender Randall "Tex" Cobb, HBO unofficial judge Harold Lederman and such well-known local fighters as Anthony "The Messenger" Thompson, Ivan Robinson, Eddie Chambers and Chazz Witherspoon. Also at ringside were promoter Butch Lewis, the guy who negotiated a $13.2 million payday for Spinks for his 1988 heavyweight title bout with Mike Tyson, and a guy who delves in even larger...
