From Virginia to Maine to California, there wasn't a lock that Curtis Perry White couldn't pick, a security system he couldn't override.

Police said White, 23, of McLean, Va., spent the past year pillaging colleges across the country of computers, overhead projectors and other valuables, and then peddling the stolen goods for thousands of dollars in pawn shops and even on eBay.

His notoriety earned him a spot on TV's "America's Most Wanted" in August, as surveillance images were aired of him burglarizing George Mason University in Fairfax, Va.

But White's life on the lam ended at about 9 p.m. on Wednesday - in West Philadelphia, of all places - when investigators apprehended him at an apartment on Cedar Avenue near 48th Street.
