Bucks are pleased with Yi's initial impact

MILWAUKEE - The Milwaukee Bucks have had enthusiastic crowds in the Bradley Center, even if last night was one of the smaller ones. They've been winning at home, piquing the interest of their fans with a rookie big man who fills the arena with his charisma and suddenly has them all dreaming bigger dreams.

His name is Yi Jianlian, the No. 6 overall pick in the NBA's June draft. He is the fourth player of Chinese descent to play in the league, the second - following closely on the heels of the Houston Rockets' Yao Ming - to bring star power.

His skill was evident only in brief glimpses early in this one as he appeared for only 7:17 of the first half, saddled with two personal fouls; he had six points and three rebounds in the first half. He finished with 13 points and...
