Are we witnessing a changing of the major-sport guard at St. Joseph's Prep?

The answer is probably no, considering that the football squad has appeared in every Catholic Red title game in this decade and is expected to again be strong come fall.

However, baseball is certainly making inroads. Coach Chris Rupertus' squad has earned a third consecutive trip to the championship game and is hoping to repeat its '07 success.

Today at 4 o'clock at Widener University, the Hawks will meet Monsignor Bonner, which will be making its first title-game appearance since a 1989 visit produced a 5-3 win over La Salle.
