Michael Gomez made headlines last month when he was arrested for allegedly attacking a Drexel University professor inside her office.
At the time, investigators said they believed that Gomez, 45, was actually something of a "one-man crime army," based on a 41-page statement he gave to detectives suggesting he was responsible for an untold number of crimes.
Now the final tally is in.
Police officials said Gomez, who also was known on the streets as Marvin Sutter, committed 17 robberies across the city from May 9 to June 3.
Gomez, of Erie Avenue near B Street, was officially charged Wednesday with committing the robberies.
