Local Obama supporters hail energy plan

Local backers of likely Democratic presidential nominee Barack Obama used the backdrop of a Center City gas station yesterday to stage a rally in support of the senator's energy plan.
"It tells the truth," said Mathew Himmelein, a regional organizer for the Sierra Club, of Obama's plan. "He's ready to give real relief."
Himmelein was among more than 20 Sierra Club members, Temple University students and others who gathered in the late-afternoon sun in front of a Sunoco station at 22nd and Walnut streets to make their point.
