4 held for trial in assault at Temple

A Common Pleas judge yesterday reinstated an aggravated-assault charge against four suspended Temple University students, who are also accused of yelling anti-Semitic slurs to two men outside a former Jewish fraternity house in February.
Judge Frank Palumbo also held the four men - David Scott, now 21, and his brother, Stephen Scott, 19, both of Willow Grove, Montgomery County; Michael Walsh, 20, of Florham Park, N.J.; and Bryan Pedreiro, now 19, of East Brunswick, N.J. - for trial on charges of ethnic intimidation, simple assault and conspiracy.
The four yesterday faced a second preliminary hearing.
At the first hearing, Municipal Judge Nazario Jimenez Jr. dismissed the aggravated-assault charge, but held the men for trial on the other charges.
