Here are Five of the "Smaller" Airfare Consolidators. Do They Try Harder?

In previous issues of Budget Travel, we've focused primarily on the giant airfare consolidators (discounters), the ones that sell at least 75,000 tickets a year. To the extent that we've occasionally dealt with smaller companies, we've limited the exceptions to niche specialists in particular continents or regions.

In this issue, we're turning to airfare consolidators of medium size, who sometimes don't get the attention given to the colossal, heavy-advertising firms. And why have we done that? Because the "smaller" companies (some sell as many as 50,000 tickets annually) also slash prices to levels way below what the airlines charge - and maybe they try harder! We suggest you shop them, too, when next you're in the market for air tickets.
