Carpe diem! If you can decide right away on a winter vacation in Orlando, and go to the phone and commit to a definite date, you can still snare a family room on the grounds of Walt Disney World (meaning you'll have free transport throughout its complex of parks) for as little as $77 a night in the newest and best of the giant Disney "value hotels": Pop Century. Its opening long postponed in the aftermath of September 11, the 5,760-room Pop Century is finally scheduled to debut the first half of its brand-new units (approximately 2,800 standard rooms) on December 14, 2003, and the resort is now taking reservations at 407/W-DISNEY and www.disneyworld.com.
