Eriksson 'disappointed' over contract announcement

LONDON (AFP) — England boss Sven-Goran Eriksson's relationship with his employers were on rocky ground once again when the his agent revealed the England manager was "disappointed" in the Football Association for making public their offer of a new contract.
The FA earlier offered Eriksson a new four-year deal which would extend his stint with England by two years up to 2008.
But the Swede has yet to agree to the new contract and his agent Athole Still revealed he was unhappy to discover news of the offer had been made public.
"His reaction was one of disappointment, not disappointment at the offer but disappointment at the fact it had been made public," Still told Sky Sports News.
"He told me on Monday the offer had been made to him verbally."
The offer follows England qualifying for the Euro 2004 finals with an unbeaten record in their campaign. ...
