UEFA move Champions League and UEFA Cup ties out of Turkey

NYON, Switzerland (AFP) — Three Champions League and UEFA Cup ties due to be played in Turkey over the next two weeks, including English Premiership side Chelsea's away leg against Besiktas, will be moved abroad because of security concerns, UEFA said.
"The decision comes in the wake of the recent terrorist attacks of November 15 and 20 in Istanbul and follows a broad evaluation of the current threat to security," European football's governing body said in a statement after an emergency meeting.
The Champions League clash between Turkish side Galatasaray and Italy's Juventus, due on December 2, will be played outside Turkey, while Besiktas's match against Chelsea, scheduled for December 9, will also take place at a neutral venue.
The UEFA Cup tie between Israeli side Haifa and Spanish club Valencia, which was already shifted outside Israel because of security fears, will now be moved out of ...
