US Track leaders rip rival sports for weak drug testing

GREENSBORO, United State (AFP) — American athletics officials and top stars ripped North American sports leagues for inadequate anti-doping controls in pushing a proposed "Zero Tolerance" steroid plan.
In the opening session of USA Track and Field's 25th annual meeting, chief executive Craig Masback addressed the wave of recent US doping cheats that includes four Americans who tested positive for tetrahydrogestrinone (THG).
"Admitting there is a problem with drugs in our sport is the best way to move toward dealing more effectively with that problem," Masback told the gathering.
"But I assume you join me in being a little tired of sports politicians and some members of the media saying we have a problem and ignoring what's going on in other sports.
