Dublin faces more defensive duty

LONDON (AFP) — Aston Villa striker Dion Dublin faces another test of his versatility - as a striker-stopping centre back - when Villa travel to Leeds for an English Premiership game on Boxing Day.
Dublin, who is one of only 10 players to score 100 Premier League goals, has recently been called in by manager David O'Leary to cover up at the back due to a spate of injuries in his small squad.
Although the former England man has slotted in well alongside captain Olof Mellberg and helped Villa claim their first away success of the season at Blackburn last Saturday, the 34-year-old insists he would rather be elsewhere.
"I'll always see myself as a striker," said Dublin.
