Nicole Kidman, Catherine Zeta-Jones join Oscar presenters

LOS ANGELES (AFP) — After walking away with Oscar statuettes last year, Catherine Zeta-Jones and Nicole Kidman will join the ranks of presenters at Hollywood's highest honors next month, organizers said.

Zeta-Jones won the Oscar for best supporting actress for her role as a murderous cabaret performer in the jazzy musical "Chicago." Kidman took the Oscar for best actress for her portrayal of novelist Virginia Woolf in "The Hours."

Kidman, 36, was once criticized as bland. But the Australian superstar has taken versatility to extremes in the past two years, reinventing herself as a Hollywood heavyweight.

She jumped from her turn as the singing courtesan Satine in 2001's "Moulin Rouge" -- for which she won her first Oscar nomination -- to that of an earnest...
