Marino to join Miami Dolphins head office

MIAMI (AFP) — Former quarterback superstar Dan Marino is continuing his search for a Super Bowl ring with the Miami Dolphins. Only this time he will be an executive in the front office.
The most prolific quarterback in National Football League history was named head of football operations for the Dolphins on Monday.
"Maybe this is the way I can get that opportunity to win a Super Bowl ring," Marino said.
Marino will have final say on football decisions. Both GM Rick Spielman and coach Dave Wannstedt will report to Marino.
"I'm delighted that Dan has agreed to re-join the team in this capacity," said Dolphins owner Wayne Huizenga.
