N.Ireland killings prompt call for probe into suspected state collusion

BELFAST (AFP) — A judge probing allegations of collusion between Northern Ireland paramilitaries and British security forces has recommended public inquiries into four murders, the son of one of the victims said.
The son of Patrick Finucane, a prominent Roman Catholic lawyer in Belfast killed in 1989 by Protestant paramilitaries, said Canadian judge Peter Cory had recommended full inquiries into the deaths of four people.
Michael Finucane said the judge called him Monday and revealed his recommendation over the murder of his father and three other killings.
