Valladolid's 'Harry Potter' loses some of his magic

MADRID (AFP) — Valladolid coach Fernando Vazquez - nicknamed Harry Potter because of his youthful, bespectacled appearence and cerebral approach - lost some of his magic when the Spanish football federation banned him for a game.

Vazquez, who was recently touted to become an assistant to Sir Alex Ferguson at Manchester United, has acquired five yellow cards quicker than the majority of his players, including three of his first-choice defenders, and will have to sit in the stands for Sunday's match against Malaga.

"It's lamentable and I am embararrassed about them," Vazquez said sheepishly on Thursday.

"It's expensive too. I have to pay a club fine of 600 euros every time," added the 49-year-old coach.

It is not the first time that Vazquez has missed...
