Stars Clint Eastwood, Nicole Kidman and Charlize Theron honoured

LOS ANGELES (AFP) — Hollywood's hottest star, last year's best actress Oscar-winner Nicole Kidman, was honoured by a top US film body along with fellow luminaries Clint Eastwood and Charlize Theron.

Kidman, 36, former screen tough guy and now acclaimed director Eastwood, 73, South African-born Theron and Irish rocker Bono were among the guests who won kudos from the esteemed American Film Institute (AFI) in Los Angeles.

The AFI Awards luncheon, coming just three days before Hollywood second most important award show, the Golden Globe Awards, and five days before this year's Oscar nominations, was held to unveil the AFI's picks of the 10 best movies of 2003.
