Georgian party demands US damage reimbursement for "rose revolution"

TBILISI (AFP) — Georgia's Labor party called on the US administration to reimburse moral and material damages for opposition protests which swept the country's current leadership to power.
The Labor party, which used to enjoy mass support before the protests dubbed "the rose revolution", demanded 100 million dollars in damages in a letter sent to the US Congress Thursday, the party's leader Shalva Natelashvili told AFP.
"We demand money from the US government because several Americans are to blame in what happened in Georgia. Everyone knows their names, it is George Soros, the former US ambassador in Georgia and others," Natelashvili claimed.
