Dixon feels confident about another IRL title

NEW YORK (AFP) — The soft-spoken Indy Racing League champion Scott Dixon wasn't making any wild predictions, but the New Zealander said there "was a good shot" he could retain his title for the second straight season.
"We've already had a few tests and we will be having another one in Phoenix next year. I think we have a good shot at staying on top. Last year was our first and it was a great effort," said the 23-year-old, who won the championship last year in his first IRL season.
"This year will be more hectic because of additional teams, but we should be OK."
Dixon, who began racing go-karts as a seven year-old in Auckland made his presence felt immediately in last year's IRL with a win in Miami in his first Indy race. He went on to win the title.
