Superstars Julia Roberts, Tom Cruise add sparkle to Oscar presenters

LOS ANGELES (AFP) — Hollywood superstars Julia Roberts and Tom Cruise will add sparkle to this year's Oscars ceremony when they hand out golden statuettes to the winners of cinema's top awards.

Organisers announced Tuesday that the two megastars would join the already star-studded line-up of presenters at the February 29 ceremony in Hollywood.

Roberts, 36, won the best actress Oscar in 2001 for her role as the tile character in "Erin Brockovich" and won nominations for her supporting role in "Steel Magnolias" in 1989 and for best actress in 1990's "Pretty Woman."

She also had major roles in "Confessions of a Dangerous Mind," "Full Frontal," 2001's "Ocean's Eleven," "America's Sweethearts" and the 1999 romantic comedy "Notting Hill" and will next be seen in...
