Vodafone signs partnership deal with Cyprus operator

NICOSIA (AFP) — British mobile phone giant Vodafone announced it had signed a partnership network agreement with the state-owned Cyprus Telecommunications Authority that integrates services.

CyTA, whose mobile division has undergone a facelift, becomes the latest company to join the 13-strong partnership network of Vodafone, the world's largest mobile phone operator.

Under the agreement, CyTA's Cytamobile will be renamed Cytamobile-Vodafone and will market Vodafone's international mobile services in Cyprus using existing Vodafone service names.

The companies will also cooperate in developing services to international and domestic customers.

The financial terms of the deal were not disclosed during a press conference here Friday.
