Move over Liz Taylor, Charlize Theron has her own stone

JOHANNESBURG (AFP) — South African actress Charlize Theron, who sparked national frenzy after becoming the first African to win the Best Actress Oscar award, will now have a semi-precious stone named after her, a daily said.
Steven Fine, a marketing manager for a jeweller based in Midrand, near Johannesburg, told the Star newspaper that he got the idea while he was watching the Oscar awards ceremony on television.
He remembers thinking: "Why not dedicate something to Charlize?"
The stone -- a newly dicovered variety of amazonite with a quartz grain -- was found last week at a mine in Chalaua in Mozambique. Fine has decided to name it the "Star of Charlize."
Fine compared the find to "discovering a new bird species".
The stone will be turned...
