Richard Branson to emulate Donald Trump's "Apprentice" in new TV show

LOS ANGELES (AFP) — British billionaire Richard Branson is taking a cue from Donald Trump and has signed on to star in a reality television show aimed at creating a new mogul, reports said.

Virgin chief Branson will be the focus of the new Twentieth Century Fox show that hopes to cash in on the runaway success of Trump's "The Apprentice" in which he sacks a would-be executive each week, Daily Variety said.

In Branson's show, tentatively titled "Branson's Big Adventure," the business captain will whisk a battery of hopeful tycoons around the world, eliminating one each week, in his search for a possible successor.
