LONDON (AFP) — Tottenham might find themselves on course for another row with Mali following striker Fredi Kanoute's inclusion in their national squad for the Olympic Games in Athens this summer, the London Evening Standard reported.

Kanoute is understood to be keen on playing in the August 13 to 29 event despite the fact that he will thereby miss the start of the new Premiership campaign and some of pre-season training.

The striker's future at Spurs may well hinge on his Olympic decision as the club could opt to cash in on the former West Ham player a year after buying him for four million pounds (7.4 million dollars).
