NEW YORK (AFP) — Former Enron chief executive Jeffrey Skilling, who is facing fraud charges in the 2001 collapse of the energy giant, has been detained and briefly hospitalized after getting involved in shouting matches at several New York bars, it was reported.
Citing police sources, The New York Post said Skilling pulled open patrons' clothes and accused them of being Federal Bureau of Investigation agents.
The former Enron CEO, who is free on bail, was drinking heavily at the bars Vudu Lounge, American Trash and Lexington Bar and Books and accosted customers there early Friday, the report quoted the sources as saying.
"He was shouting at them: 'You're an FBI agent and you're following me,' " The Post quotes one of the sources as saying.
