Bush to welcome Australia's Howard June 3

NILES, United States (AFP) — US President George W. Bush will welcome Australian Prime Minister John Howard, a close Iraq war ally, to Washington on June 3 for talks on terrorism and bilateral trade, the White House said.
"Australia is a lead nation in the global war on terror," Bush spokesman Scott McClellan said in a statement announcing Howard's trip.
"President Bush looks forward to discussing with Prime Minister Howard a range of important regional and international issues and to deepening and broadening bilateral relations between the United States and Australia, to include the recently concluded Free Trade Agreement," he said.
