Garcia wins three-way playoff at Byron Nelson

IRVING, United States (AFP) — Sergio Garcia triumphed in a three-way playoff to capture the Byron Nelson Championship.
Spain's Garcia parred the first extra hole to beat Americans Robert Damron and Dudley Hart after they had tied at 10-under-par 270 at the end of regulation at the Four Seasons TPC.
Garcia, who started the day with a two-shot cushion, wasn't at his very best, carding an ordinary one-over 71 to limp into the playoff.
But he took advantage of his opponents' poor play at the first extra hole, the par-four 18th. After Hart butchered it to make double-bogey, Damron missed a short par putt to hand the title to Garcia on a proverbial platter.
The 24-year-old tapped in for his fourth victory on the PGA Tour, his first in more than two years....
