Stocks struggle as OPEC, ECB meet

LONDON (AFP) — European stock markets stumbled in early trading as investors stayed cautious ahead of key meetings of OPEC oil producers and eurozone monetary policymakers, traders said.
The British FTSE 100 index fell by 0.45 percent to 4,403.10 points, the German DAX 30 dropped 0.33 percent to 3,875.67 points and the French CAC 40 slipped 0.65 percent to 3,622.45 points.
The DJ Euro Stoxx 50 index of leading eurozone shares declined 0.59 percent to 2,714.02 points.
The euro stood at 1.2209 dollars.
