OMAHA, United States (AFP) — Susan Buffett, wife of billionaire investor and businessman Warren Buffett, died of a stroke, the holding company Berkshire Hathaway said.
Susan Buffett and her husband, the world's second richest man, were visiting friends in Cody, Wyoming at the time of her death, the company said in a statement.
She was a director at Berkshire Hathaway, a holding company controlled by her husband that is involved in insurance and a variety of other businesses.
Forbes Magazine this year estimated Warren Buffett's net worth at 42.9 billion dollars, second only to that of Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates.
According to Forbes, the Buffetts separated in 1977 but remained friends.
