Japan's winless racehorse aims for screen glory

TOKYO (AFP) — Japanese racehorse Haruurara who has failed to win a single race but captured the hearts of the nation with her dogged determination will make her screen debut next year.
The movie, titled "Haruurara," will tell the story of the eight-year-old mare's hard time as a weak racehorse, said officials of her home Kochi Racecourse in the coastal city of Kochi, some 600 kilometers (370 miles) southwest of Tokyo.
"People are moved because she is making a desperate endeavor to race despite her small body given by her parents," film director Tokihisa Morikawa was quoted by Jiji Press as saying Sunday.
