Tiscali to sell assets to focus on key markets

ROME (AFP) — Italian Internet service provider Tiscali is to sell its business in Austria, the Czech Republic, Denamrk and Spain to concentrate on its main markets, chief executive Ruud Huisman said.
"We are going to focus on ous five biggest markets: Italy, France, Britain, the Benelux and Germany," he said in a interview with Italian business newspaper Il Sole 24 Ore.
"We are therefore going to sell our activities in Denmark, Spain, Austria and the Czech Republic," he said.
Activities in Norway, Switzerland, Sweden and South Africa were already being sold, he said, repeating earlier announcements, and without giving further details on progress of those divestments.
